Wearing the QuietSpot® Boom and Inline headset

  1. Insert the earphone into your right ear, as you would an earplug. (To wear the headset in your left ear, see section below.)
  2. Hook the ear support over and around your ear.
  3. If using a Boom model, bend the microphone boom so that the microphone is about one inch away from your mouth. Make sure that the cord falls down along your neck, and not over the microphone boom.
  4. Adjust your phone's volume to a comfortable level while making a call.

Personal Fit Kit
Your QuietSpot® headset comes with an assortment of earphone sleeves in two styles and three sizes. Try the different sizes to determine the most comfortable fit for you.

Flex Sleeves: These soft pliable sleeves fit comfortably in the ear and allow for easy insertion. The flex sleeve lets you put the headset on quickly with one hand and offer superb sound isolation.

Soft Flex Sleeves: Designed for comfortable extended wear, these supple sleeves form to your ear to provide optimal sound quality.

Changing sleeves

  1. To remove an earphone sleeve, gently twist and pull the sleeve while holding the earphone.
  2. To install an earphone sleeve, slide the sleeve onto the earphone.

Wearing the headset on your left ear

  1. Slide the ear support off over the earphone.
  2. Turn the ear support around.
  3. Slide the ear support over the earphone and back onto the earphone body.

Using the headset without the ear support
You may also use your QuietSpot headset without the ear support. With the ear support removed, insert the earphone in your ear. Loop the cord over and behind your ear.

Precautions
Listening at high volume levels can damage your hearing. Stop using the headset if you experience discomfort. Consult local laws and regulations regarding use of a headset while operating a motor vehicle.

Troubleshooting
If you hear or the person that you are calling hears noise while using the headset:
- attach the supplied foam windscreen (Boom models only)
- make certain that the earphone is pushed fully into the ear
- make certain that the headset is securely connected to your phone
- adjust the microphone boom so that the microphone is closer to your mouth
